D.O.R.I.S.
D.O.R.I.S. is a mobile research terminal, modified to observe and analyze dreams in real-time. The D.O.R.I.S. unit in front of you is a projection within your current dream cycle, entangled with the actual unit in your assigned sleep cubicle. D.O.R.I.S. is continually monitoring your dream state, and you are encouraged to use this terminal to review and maintain the quality of the recorded telemetry.

D.O.R.I.S. was created by David Keogh for the Study, a Seattle-based immersive experience with a limited run in early 2026. This version of D.O.R.I.S. has been modified for Nebula's Cabinet of Dreams gallery show.

Within the Study, D.O.R.I.S. functioned as the control center for the show, including multichannel spatial audio, DMX lighting, video processing, and player input. D.O.R.I.S. runs on a software stack that includes Ableton Live, Max, Resolume, and Beam (for DMX integration).
