The Study is an immersive narrative experience for up to three people, located in Seattle, Washington. The story unfolds in a single room through a mix of found footage, physical and digital artifacts, interactive devices, and audiovisual effects. This isn’t an
escape or puzzle room, though there are mysteries to unravel. You can witness a story that unfolds around you, or take a more active role to gain a deeper understanding of what’s happening. Most everything is in view, if you know where to look.
The narrative is equal parts fanciful sci-fi, psychological thriller, ghost story, and existential crisis. It’s not horror, but it deals with some dark themes and can be intense and even scary in a few places. There are no monsters, jump scares, gore, or violent scenes, but there are some disturbing moments and experiences that may quietly creep up on you.
The Study is a community art project created by
David Keogh, and attendance is by suggested donation.
